Your First Visit
At Dr. Spielberg's office we are excited to meet our new patients. Therefore, Dr. Spielberg conducts her initial evaluation free of charge. She will spend time with you to evaluate your tooth position and jaw position and determine if treatment is indicated at this time. If so, diagnostic records will be scheduled/taken. Complete diagnostic records typically include a medical/dental history, clinical examination; plaster study models of the teeth, photos of the patient's face and teeth and X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care. Also as part of your initial visit your treatment costs and insurance benefits will be discussed.
Banding Appointment
Dr. Spielberg will review your diagnostic records and proposed treatment plan and place your appliances. This appointment generally takes 2 hours and includes instructions about braces wear and care.
Regular Appointments
You will then see us at regular intervals 2 to 8 weeks apart for an adjustment. These adjustments generally take 20 minutes. Our regular office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday form 8:30am until 5:00PM. Patients are seen by appointment only.
We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. It is may be difficult to reschedule during our busier times.
